This Warrensburg town park is named for Morry Stein, a leader of the American Camping Association and longtime owner of Echo Lake Camp in Warrensburg NY. The park has a lifeguarded public swimming beach on small Echo lake, a picnic pavilion, basketball courts, and public restrooms.
Hours
The park is open until 8 pm daily. Absolutely no swimming is allowed when there is no lifeguard on duty.
From the South:
Take the Northway (I-87) to Exit 23, turn left and proceed 0.2 miles to the traffic light. Turn right onto route 9. Proceed North on route 9 through Warrensburg for 1.2 miles. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hudson St. Keep to the right. After the cemetery (about a mile), turn left into the signed Morry Stein Park and Beach at Echo Lake and proceed to the end of the road. Parking is near the picnic pavilion on the left, before the road descends to the beach.
From the North:
Take the Northway (I-87) to Exit 23, turn right and proceed to the traffic light at route 9. Follow the same directions as above.
