The site of the 1757 French and Indian War battle depicted in Last of the Mohicans. The French burned the fort after the siege, and it remained overgrown with trees and grass for nearly 200 years. The fort was reconstructed as a tourist attraction in the 1950's. There are guided tours every hour.
The fort is open May 1 - October 31.

Travel Directions
Fort William Henry is located on Route 9 just south of Lake George Village. From Interstate 87, take Exit 21 to the Village. The Fort is located on the north (right) side of the road. Parking is available near the Fort behind JT Kelly’s.
